1. Data Categories We Collect

• Identity and contact: phone number (MSISDN), email (if provided).
• Account and security: password hash (if applicable), OTP verification logs, login sessions, device identifiers.
• Profile data: name, age/date of birth, gender, education/work, interests, target preferences, social links, bio.
• Content: profile photos, avatars, messages, and interactions.
• Location and device: approximate location (lat/long), device and app version, IP address, logs.
• Preferences: visibility/last seen, message filters, membership level.

2. Purposes of Use

• Account creation and identity verification.
• Personalizing your profile and app experience.
• Enabling matching, messaging, and social interactions.
• Security, abuse prevention, and fraud detection.
• Responding to support requests.
• Service improvement and bug fixing.

3. AI Avatar Generation

• Users may create AI avatars using a text prompt and style selection.
• For avatar generation, prompt, style, and (if available) profile gender may be shared with a third-party AI image provider (e.g., Google AI Gemini image model).
• Generated images are saved to your account and may be shown within the Service.

4. Communication, Messaging, and Matching

• Messages and matching data are processed to provide chat and discovery experiences.
• Block lists and message filters may be stored for personal safety.

5. Data Sharing

Your personal data may be shared:

• With authorized authorities where required by law.
• With providers of SMS/email, hosting, analytics, social login, and AI image generation.
• Only to the extent necessary to deliver the Service.

We do not sell personal data for commercial purposes.

6. Retention and Account Deletion

• Upon your deletion request, your account is deactivated and login access is disabled.
• Data may be archived for a limited period after deletion, then permanently removed.
• Based on in-app deletion flow, archive period is 3 months and full deletion is 2 years.
• Some data may be retained longer due to legal obligations or disputes.

7. Security

We apply appropriate technical and administrative safeguards to protect your data. However, no internet transmission can be guaranteed as fully secure.

8. Your Rights

• Learn whether your personal data is processed.
• Request information if it is processed.
• Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Request deletion or anonymization.
• Object to processing.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not intended for users under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

10. Third-Party Links

The app may contain third-party links. Roomity is not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.

11. Changes

This policy may be updated from time to time. The current version will be published in the app or on the web.
